Artist’s Statement.

Cycle racing passes the spectator by in a matter of seconds,
a mass of wheels, lycra, color, light and motion.
I have experienced that blur from within.

A local racer forging on in a solo break, or a professional in
their height of glory, these are fleeting moments that a rider
feels or a spectator glimpses that embody a life long passion.
I capture these moments in my work, preserving the spirit,
emotion and essence of cyclesport.

I call on my own experiences to paint a celebration of a rider,
a team, a machine, a race and a passion.
